Magnificent and rare earthenware planter from Gien.
This is the "Bernard" model,
potbellied in shape resting on four snail feet, flanked by two handles.
Reproduction in the style of Théodore Deck.
Polychrome enamel decoration depicting flowers and foliage enhanced with gold leaf applications.
Very good general condition. 1 tiny inconspicuous hair (cooking crack) on the collar.
Which in no way detracts from the beauty of this piece.
Period: Late 19th century.
Height 28cm. D. (without handles).
A flowerpot of identical shape and similar decoration is preserved
at the Charles VII Museum in Mehun-sur-Yèvre.
Gien earthenware bowl with side handles decorated with poppies.
Marked. H. 7.5cm - D. (excluding handles): 26.5cm.
Gien. Vasque à suspendre (avec ses chaines d'origine)
pouvant être utilisée en jardinière ou fontaine à oiseaux,
en faïence à décor de grand feu de cornes d'abondances et oiseaux.
Vasque ornée de têtes de bélier avec au centre des godrons se terminant par un artichaut stylisé.
Travail des années 1870 finement réalisé.

Gien. Centre de table en faïence polychrome à décor de grotesques autour d'un camée couronné.

Gien. Grande gourde en faïence à décor polychrome de grotesques,
lambrequins, frises, mascarons de faunes.
